Citizen science is a powerful way for people of all ages and all walks of life to contribute to research, conservation, and natural resource. Texas Parks and Wildlife's Texas Nature Trackers program uses iNaturalist - an online data collection tool and naturalist community - to support its projects. This training will introduce iNaturalist and provide step-by-step instruction on how to use it, including making and identifying observations, searching for data, and setting up projects. This training is intended for instructors working with middle school through high school students. Participants should come to the session with an iNaturalist account set up and the iNaturalist app loaded onto their phone if possible.
