2018 AISD Science + Mathematics X Conference

This PD workshop puts Design Thinking into action. We will teach the process of Empathizing, Defining, Ideating, Prototyping and Testing, citing examples and resources. Starting with the problem of creating instruments that change the way we see the world (we call them "Fabriscopes"), participants will Empathize with users whose vision is impacted by technology in short videos. In the Define stage, we will work on focusing the problem and creating “How might we...?” statements. For Ideate, we will brainstorm and draw, working both independently and in groups. Finally, participants will Prototype and Test by creating proofs of concept, working with tools and materials.
