When students have a growth mindset, they are willing to face challenges and problem solve to do quality mathematics. Creating a classroom environment that fosters a growth mindset is essential. Giving students low floor - high ceiling problems gives all learners a chance to contribute, think deeply, problem solve, succeed and exceed! In this session, we hope to model a few of these type of problems for secondary math classrooms and brainstorm problems you can try in your class.
