We will explore the many rewards students and teachers receive from Friday Challenges. These challenges offer students a way to collaborate, problem solve, use critical thinking and think about problems in ways they never thought about before. It is a fun way to engage students in math and problem solving, and allow them to see problem solving as more than just numbers on paper. During this session we will use Growth Mindset to show students that somethings that seem impossible at first, are actually attainable. This session will explore 5 different challenges that students are excited to go home and share with parents. There is no technology required for this session, just bring your creative thinking skills and be prepared to be stumped!
