Updated for 2018!! While space science can be exciting, evoking thoughts of Star Trek or Star Wars, elementary students can be challenged to learn the actual processes behind the seasons, Moon phases, and the difference between rotation and revolution. How can we make this learning accessible to all types of learners? We'll explore a variety of Earth, Sun, Moon science concepts and some concrete, hands-on ways to make these concepts attainable and retainable for students. Participants: a laptop will be helpful, but not essential (websites and downloadable lessons and materials will be explored); expect to see, and if time, handle, multiple, easy-to-make/find materials to use with students.
