Struggling to get your students engaged in reading experiences? Unsure of what to do next or how to incorporate meaningful opportunities? Let’s learn how to flip the script on reading in your classroom. As adults, we read to gather information for ourselves and then apply it for our benefit. We will analyze this approach utlizing the Talk-Read-Talk-Write and Tea Party Protocol Strategies and discuss additional strategies that are applicable. Each educator attending will walk away with effective tools and strategies that can be implemented immediately. We will engage in intentional thought and discussion around appropriate manifestitations for each of your individual classrooms. These structures and strategies can offer growth and successes for all types of learners while simultaneously valuing students as critical thinkers and leaders. Let’s bring students into the experience, and get them hooked on reading!
